Exhibition at L’Artothèque de Montréal
February 11th, 2016, 17:00 – 19:00
Quoi de neuf? – (What’s new?) which will take place from February 11th till March 5th, arises from the desire to value the new works of more than 40 artists, received in 2015 at L’Artothèque and from now on offered for rent!
Echoing our collection in constant renewal, 2015 marks the incorporation of 93 original works of from Quebec and Canadian artists, who bet on another distribution channel for their art.
We find artists there whose works are already in L’Artothèque, as Lucie-Charlotte Mainville, Danielle Bouchard or Michel Leclair and emergent artists who become new members such as Oscar Vargas, Kevin Calixte and Ximena Holuigue. And a lot of others!
The collective exhibition Quoi de neuf? becomes a biannual event in the programming of L’Artothèque, which will be held every January and July. This exhibition, which presents some of the new selected works, is evolutionary itself. As the works on the walls are still available for rent, the exhibition will shape itself to the desires of the visitors, to the works acclaimed by a tenant will succeed other works that will charm the next visitor.
We’re hope to see you for the opening reception which will take place in the presence of the artists on Thursday, February 11th from 5 pm till 7 pm.
Bar on voluntary contribution and appetizers offered.
