As part of its renovations (2016-2017), the prestigious hotel Le Reine Élizabeth commissioned U.V.A to recover silverware and other prestigious heritage materials to create an eco-artistic projetc. These recyclable artifacts made of glass, marble, metal and other, come from different parts of the hotel, including the Beaver Club and the John Lennon and Yoko Ono Suite.
At least two of the five artworks that I created with artefacts from the Reine Elizabeth Hotel will be exhibited.

A conversation with the object, this atypical work was immediately suggested by the personality of the saucers that are a part of it. Succession of subtle modifications of the cobalt blue color (pigment PB28), the iteration renews a process in a sequence whose intervals can be divided indefinitely.
In partnership with the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel and the owners Ivanhoé Cambridge, the mandate of UVA is to give a new life to these artifacts by bringing together a Collective of some 40 notable international and emerging artists to use those artifacts to create works of art inspired by the timeless imprint they conceal. In addition to valuing our heritage assets, the exhibit will promote an ecologically sensitive vision of our environment and our consumer society. By reusing and incorporating these artifacts in works of art, the Collective contributes indirectly to the well-being of the planet.
